The Shoebody Bop

It's important to note that the first bop recipient shows no sign of struggle, and his content facial expression never changes even as John the Boptist pulls his head back in anticipation of the forthcoming bopping.

This is not a ceremony of torture, but one of brotherhood. John the Boptist takes the pain just as you do, before he releases you to the waters caress, to sing your way downriver.

Some are forced into the water, perhaps questioning their faith in this rite of passage. Still, all are equal in taking the bop.

The first to truly challenge the Boptist is the mutant. No doubt the previous Boptist, adorned with a bulging and cortical crown, the mutant steps up, his title challenged. Reassured in his ability, the Boptist loads up a solid mutant-dropping bop.

Alas, the mutant still stands, and grinning. A seasoned bopper, the mutie takes one more of the hero's powerbops to be truly set free upon the river. He joins his brethren downstream.

Alas, the time has come.

As newly crowned Chief Bopper, there is nothing more on this earth for our hero to bop. Accordingly, his devotees summon the demon.

John the Boptist's confidence after the mutant is wavering... Can he survive administering a heavenly bop to those demonly spikes, that no doubt afforded the Mutie his protruding crown?

Breathing potent malice, the demon swaggerly approaches the water before fumbling in.

The water boils around the demon as it stares into the soul of our Boptist. The Boptist stares back into the demon's dull eyes, questioning not only his ability, but also his faith. Will the demon be his end..?

As the crescendo begins to rise, suddenly the demon slaps Boptist out of his thoughts and into action. Swiftly spinning the demon around, John delivers a quick succession of bops to the weakspot on the back of the demons head, cracking the egg of achievement and leaving the foul sulfur beast face down in the river.

Finally our hero ascends to the heavens, having given his fellow men peace, and slain the demon.

He's achieved what the Mutie never could.
