The Shoebody Bop

It's important to note that the first bop recipient shows no sign of struggle, and his content facial expression never changes even as John the Boptist pulls his head back in anticipation of the forthcoming bopping.  This is not a ceremony of torture, but one of brotherhood. John the Boptist takes the pain just as you do, before he releases you to the waters caress, to sing your way downriver.  Some are forced into the water, perhaps questioning their faith in this rite of passage. Still, all are equal in taking the bop.  The first to truly challenge the Boptist is the mutant. No doubt the previous Boptist, adorned with a bulging and cortical crown, the mutant steps up, his title challenged. Reassured in his ability, the Boptist loads up a solid mutant-dropping bop.  Alas, the mutant still stands, and grinning. A seasoned bopper, the mutie takes one more of the hero's powerbops to be truly set free upon the river. He joins his brethren downstream.  Alas, the tim...
